ProAcústica honors professionals who, throughout their trajectories, have contributed a lot to the growth and maturation of the acoustic segment in the country. They are the “Honorary Associates”;

| Fernando Henrique Aidar
Civil Engineer, USP Polytechnic School, 1953. Service provision to Eucatex S.A. From 1997 until today, holder of F.H. Aidar Engineering responsible for assistance, consulting, acoustic measurements and projects for control of noise and vibrations in the industrial, highway, subway, residential, telecommunication, institution and commercial areas.

| João Gualberto Baring
Architect and Urban Planner, M.Sc. (1981) and D.Sc. (1990) by USP. Instructor of graduation and post-graduation at FAUUSP and specialization courses of the USP Polytechnic School (PECE). Founder of IPT SP’s acoustic area. Presided SOBRAC and is currently the coordinator of ABNT CE-02:135.01, about Acoustic Performance in Buildings and a ProAcústica counselor. A private consultant on noise control acoustic.

| Moyses Zindeluk
Mechanical Engineer UFPR, M.Sc.1972 and D.Sc. 1978 COPPE/UFRJ, titular professor of acoustic and vibrations, COPPE/UFRJ, retired in 2007. A Consultant in noise and vibrations control; environmental acoustic quality; monitoring and diagnosis of machines and structures. A founding member of ABCM and SOBRAC.

| Peter Joseph Barry
Physicist, IPT researcher and counselor at ProAcústica.

| Samir N. Y. Gerges
Mechanical Engineer, D.Sc. by ISRV – Institute for Sound and Vibrations | England (1974). Titular professional since 1980 in vibrations and acoustic at UFSC. Founding member of SOBRAC and FIA – Ibero-American Federation of Acoustic and the ISO group of standards for hearing protection. A consultant for public and private organs in acoustic and vibrations in general and noise control for airplanes and the automobile industry.

| Schaia Akkerman
Mechanical and Civil Engineer and Electrician, graduated by the USP Polytechnic School, 1952/1955, managing partner at Acústica Engenharia Ltda., coordinator of the Acoustic Division of the Engineering Institute, a member of Ince, ASA, IIAV, collaborator of the ABNT standardization, ProAcústica counselor.
